When conducting research for your project, please remember that you are a representative of Texas A&M University. Since you will be learning techniques used to conduct research with human subjects, you must adhere to federally mandated rules and regulations established to protect human subjects. We will discuss these more in our class lectures on ethics, but for now please be advised that:

Each student must:

• Complete the CITI Ethics training course before you attend your event
• Receive written permission at least one week in advance from an event organizer if your event is private or a religious gathering

Students do not have clearance from the Office of Research Compliance to:

• Ask questions or interview participants at the event
• Take photos, audio recordings, or video recordings
